Lavaca High School

In Markets & Analytics class, students explored the role of ethics in business. They researched how companies establish ethical standards, connected these practices to real-world business impact, and discovered how strong ethics can influence both reputation and profitability. Students then presented their findings to the class.

38 Lavaca FFA members attended the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair FFA Day judging contest Wednesday. Lavaca competed in Dairy, Livestock, Poultry, Floriculture, Agronomy, and Tractor Driving events.

LHS FBLA will host a 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament Sat, Sept 27. You can register your team through TicketLeap at: https://rb.gy/8ytdat. The deadline to sign up is Wed, Sept 24 at noon.

This event is a fundraiser to support FBLA district & state conventions. The tournament bracket will be posted via the high school social media pages & emailed to registered teams on Fri, Sept 26. If you have questions, contact Coach Graves at janson.graves@lavacaschools.com.

LHS school pictures will be taken Wed, Sept 24. Senior re-takes will begin at 9am followed by grades 9-11.

Students in Mrs. Graves’ science classes have been sharpening their skills! Recently, they’ve explored concepts such as experimental design with reactions, ecosystem interactions, microscopy, and cell size.
