The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Due to dangerous winter weather predicted in both Lavaca & the Ft. Worth area, we have made the difficult decision not to travel to NCA Nationals this weekend.

Our team will compete using the virtual option, and the funds generously raised by our community will be used to support the virtual competition! We hope you will join us for the virtual recording performance at 1:00pm tomorrow (Jan. 23) in our home gym! Please come out & support our students’ hard work & success in lieu of this weekend’s trip.

In Mrs. Robinson’s English/Oral Comm class, 10th-grade students brought Shakespeare to life by reading a scene from Hamlet. They began by analyzing subtext and deconstructing figurative language—specifically hunting for words with double meanings. Then, students split into groups, chose roles, and conducted character analyses to decide how to perform each part based on the plot and the characters' underlying emotions.
