LHS received an Accelerated Learning Equipment & Materials Grant, awarded by the Division of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE). We were able to purchase a Bambu 3D printer & supplies for our Computer Science students to use.

Some of Mrs. Graves' science classes ended their semester content with a lab! AP Biology students participated in a taste testing lab to investigate how the signal transduction pathway of taste bud reception can be altered. Physical Science students investigated the transfer of thermal energy with different compounds during a phase change.

LHS students were asked to create a model to demonstrate and explain the tragedy of the commons for AP Environmental Science, and they did very well. Each group demonstrated the concept in a very creative way. One group made a Sea Turtle sculpture out of plastics that very often end up in the ocean and hurt the population. One group demonstrated deforestation by creating a model of a forest. Lastly, a group created a model with running water to demonstrate pollution by factories and industries showing its affects on the atmosphere, biosphere, and hydrosphere.
