Pi Day in Mrs. Winchester's Math Classes

Today, our 7th and 8th graders at LMS had the privilege of welcoming, Ashleigh Smith, Registered Dietitian from ACHE to share some incredible healthy eating tips for March Nutrition Month! 🌟🍎 Here are the top takeaways for smart snacking and overall well-being:
1️⃣ Snack Smart: Choose wisely with options like fruit with string cheese, a small handful of unsalted mixed nuts/seeds, low-fat yogurts, whole wheat crackers with peanut butter, or pretzels with hummus. 🍇2️⃣ Plate Method: Remember MyPlate.gov! Balance your plate with veggies, fruits, lean proteins, and whole grains for a well-rounded meal. 🍽️🌽🍗
3️⃣ Stay Active: Move for at least 1 hour every day to keep those bodies strong and healthy. Whether it's sports, dancing, or a brisk walk, find something you love! 🏃♀️🚴♂️ 4️⃣ Screen Time Limit: Balancing screen time with outdoor activities promotes a healthier lifestyle. 📱🌳
Big thanks to our fantastic dietitian for inspiring our students to make nutritious choices and stay active. 😊Let's make March a month of wellness! 💪#ArkansasCollegesOfHealthEducation --
