The LMS Project Prevent group is always looking for positive ways to make a difference at our school! Recently, they purchased basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls for students to enjoy during recess. What makes these even more special? The group spent time writing tobacco and nicotine prevention messages on them to serve as a daily reminder for all LMS students. Way to go, Project Prevent!

May will be busy at LMS! Please mark your calendars.

Our 5th grade students had an exciting and educational field trip downtown!
They started the day at First National Bank in Fort Smith, where they learned about the bank’s history, explored the vault and safety deposit boxes, and even got a lesson on spotting counterfeit money.
Next, they toured the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, where they discovered all the campus has to offer—from classes and clubs to science and math buildings—getting a glimpse into college life!
To wrap up the day, they enjoyed lunch and some fun in the sun at Ben Geren Park.

Atlas Testing is Complete!
What a way to celebrate—our amazing friends at 1st Baptist Lavaca truly spoiled us today! LMS teachers were surprised with delicious cookies and coffee, and our students were treated to popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, bubbles, and lots of smiles during recess.
We’re so grateful for their kindness and support—what a blessing they are to our school!
We also wore green today in support of one of our LMS families.
We love our students, their families, and our amazing community!
