Yesterday, we were thrilled to have special guests, Ashleigh Smith, Registered Dietitian and her intern Aimee Vandergriff from the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education visit our afterschool program! 🥤💧 They spoke to our elementary and middle school students about the importance of staying hydrated and why sugary energy drinks packed with caffeine aren't the best choice. The kids had a blast playing a fun game where they learned to spot drinks that are great for hydration versus those to avoid. Such a valuable lesson for healthy living! 🌟
