The LPS Admin team attended the Arkansas School Behavior Conference this week. The conference provided essential skills & strategies to enhance our behavioral practices within the district which will positively impact the Lavaca Schools community! The team welcomed Dr. Hansen, LMS principal, to the group & planning for the 26-27 school year is underway!

Congratulations to Mrs. Donna Proctor & Mrs. Kendra Dewey on their retirement! We are so thankful for the years they have poured into LMS and the countless students they have impacted along the way. We wish them both the very best in this next chapter. LMS will miss them greatly! 💜

Congratulations to our 8th graders! We celebrated them this morning with a special breakfast. 💜 We’re going to miss this group, but we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish in high school and beyond! A huge thank you to Casey’s for donating breakfast pizzas, Elite Roofing for donating Chick-fil-A, and Smith Donuts for donating donuts. We truly appreciate your kindness and support of our students!

Tuesday, LMS students LEVELED UP. We were able to meet our upcoming 5th graders, 5th grade went to 6th, 6th went to the 7th grade hall, 7th went to 8th, and 8th spent the morning at LHS.

Last week, during testing week, 7th and 8th graders received some sweet treats and words of encouragement from the kindest lady- Mrs. Driscoll's mom. 💜 The kids loved it!

It's Mental Health Awareness Week! The state of Arkansas is providing a resource to help parents and educators to help students get exactly what they need. Please refer to the information in the flyer to determine if these services would be beneficial to your family.

The LMS Band did a fantastic job at the Spring Concert today!

Last week, our 5th graders had an exciting and educational field trip! They visited First National Bank, explored opportunities at UAFS, and wrapped up the day enjoying some time together at the park. It was a great day of learning and making memories!
