Coach H’s environmental science students learned about soil layers this week & then collected soil samples around campus. They will be analyzing the soil over the next few weeks. Mrs. Teague’s mobile apps 3 class is building robot cars and will be programming them to drive in the next couple of weeks.

With 4 weeks of the first semester behind us. There have been a lot of learning moments at LHS. Freshmen students in English visited the Library Media Center & have been focusing on the importance of independent reading. In Personal Communications, students were presenting their "How-To" speeches.










Agriculture students at LHS were busy last week. In Mechanics, students began welding. Advanced Animal Science students have been researching common diseases for beef cattle in Arkansas. Each student created & presented information to their peers about the disease characteristics including symptoms, treatment, and the economic impact.

Juniors created their own country as part of a cross-curricular project. Students reported about the climate, natural resources, and agricultural providers in science. In civics, students designed a flag, and reported on their type of self-created government. Students also analyzed the Bill of Rights and created a governing document in English class using appropriate literacy skills. In Mobile Apps 2 students created a new innovation for their colony.










The junior & senior Lady Basketball Arrows completed the 110 flights of stairs to honor those who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001.









LHS Class of 2025 painted their parking spots over the past two weeks. The student parking lot is full of color and fun!
