Senior Night will be this Fri, Nov 8. The recognition ceremony will begin at 6:30pm.
The Arrows will kickoff at 7pm following the senior night ceremony.

LHS students participated in a mock election yesterday. Students were able to read the election ballot & cast their vote in the library. Students were able to discuss local candidates with & without an opposing candidate. They were also allowed to ask questions regarding the issues from this election to gain a better understanding of what their voting choice would mean for each issue.

LHS senior, Makenna Jeffcoat, spent the day job shadowing at Lavaca Elementary in Mrs. Palmer's classroom! We are thankful for this opportunity that allowed Makenna to experience a day in the life of an educator as well as share her enthusiasm and passion for education within our own school community!


LHS Seniors Julia Owen & Jordyn Baldwin attended the Educators Rising Conference today at Arkansas Tech. They attended breakout sessions on lesson plan making, public speaking and teacher leadership. They also participated in a campus tour.







Andrez Bernabe placed 2nd in the jr boys division in the district meet tonight. He then also competed in the sr boys 5k race and placed 9th!

LHS Juniors, Adrian Gonzalez & Grayson Proctor were selected to serve in the Congressional Youth Senate this school year. Today, they attended the first session with other members from around the state. The focus of the group this term will be rural healthcare. They will research & develop a presentation to argue their stance on the topic. We are proud of our LHS representatives!!

Congratulations to Kyler White (Tenor 2) and Sydnee Beck (Soprano 2) for being selected to perform in the all-region choir. They auditioned in Dover Saturday, October 12 and will perform with the region choir in November.

The 24-25 Yearbook is now on sale at the early-bird price of $35. Yearbooks can be purchased through TicketLeap at: https://lavaca-school-district.ticketleap.com/yearbook-24-25-orders/. The price will increase to $45 January 1. The deadline to order a yearbook is May 31, 2025. Yearbooks will arrive in the fall of 2025.

Our Child Nutrition Department helped LPS celebrate Farm to School Month with a special "Try It Day"! 🎉
Students at our elementary, middle and high school got the chance to sample delicious veggies such as cauliflower, sweet potatoes, zucchini, and radishes. It's the perfect opportunity to explore new flavors and learn about healthy, local foods! 🥦🍎


The Lady Arrows fell to Mayflower in 5 sets this afternoon & their season came to an end! We are proud of our Arrows! It’s been fun watching you!
