LES students are THRILLED about getting to play with their new Gaga pit from our LES PTO! They also able purchased a new ball container, new jump ropes, 4 new footballs, soccer balls, volleyballs & basketballs, and 20 new Gaga balls/dodge balls- (Not all pictured)!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in the PTO fundraiser, Elite Roofing for donating the items to be auctioned, and Mullenix Welding for helping reach our financial goal! We have an awesome PTO and community! LES is so grateful for the new equipment for our kiddos!
Mrs. Washington’s kindergarten class did an experiment based on the 3 Little Pigs to see which house needed more force to be blow down. Kindergarten has been working on force and motion all week.
February is School Based Health Clinic Awareness Month, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible healthcare team - the doctors, nurses, dental professionals, mental health therapists and all the office staff at Lavaca Wellness Center and Lavaca Family Dental who go above and beyond for our students and staff! 🩺🦷💆♂️

LES had four teams from 3rd and 4th grade compete in their first Battle of the Books today! We had two 3rd grade teams place in the competition, Team A placed 3rd and Team B placed 2nd overall. We are so proud of all the teams and the way they represented our school.
Happy National Children's Dental Health Month! 🌟 Our School-Based Health Dental team from Dr. Rupa's office had a blast visiting our elementary students today to chat about the importance of oral health! 😁👧👦 From brushing tips to the magic of flossing, we're on a mission to keep those smiles shining bright. Amazing Arrows for the month of January
Mrs. Headley worked so hard on our book fair this year! We earn scholastic points with our book fair and that got us some new makerspaces for Library! We still have a new Lego table coming in too. LES is thankful for Mrs. Headley’s hard work and our parental suppport! LES students are going to love these!
In observance of Holocaust Remembrance Week, Lavaca 4th grade students have been analyzing a poem by a Holocaust victim, creating original acrostic poems, and creating a visual display.
