🌿🦗 Saying goodbye to our little friends! 🦗🌿 After witnessing the incredible journey of praying mantis eggs hatching in Mrs. Dorr’s class, it's time to release them back into nature where they belong. 🌍🌱 Letting them go is bittersweet, but we know they'll thrive in their natural habitat. Thanks for being part of this amazing experience with us! 🙌

Students received their eclipse glasses at school, courtesy of the AR STEM Coalition. They Eclipse occurred April 8, his exciting celestial event will not happen in our country again for 21 years!

Some up coming dates to keep in mind!

Amazing Arrows for the month of March

It's National School Librarian Day!
Thank you, Mrs. Headley! 💜💛📚

Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Stacey’s PreK class made leprechaun traps after they read the book How to Catch a Leprechaun. The next morning, they came into a classroom of chaos with golden coins and green/golden grass thrown everywhere. They were all so surprised

We are so excited to have this event back! Click the link below or you can send money/check (made out to Lavaca Public Schools, with DDD and daughters name on memo) to school to sign up!

Our local county extension agent, Tristin Bolton paid a special visit to LES in celebration of March Nutrition Month! 🍏📚
Our amazing students got to try her quick and delicious black bean salad! 🥗🖤 It's fantastic to see our kids exploring nutritious options and learning about the importance of a healthy diet. A huge thanks to our county extension team at the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture for making nutrition education fun and tasty! 🌈👩🌾

Wrapped up Read Across America Week with PJ day!

Ms. Washington’s class worked hard in February to publish their very own book called “All About Arctic Animals”. They did their research together as a class, and students picked one animal to write an informative book about. After student books were complete, each student wrote one fact about their animal in the class book. Their book just came in today, and they were so excited to see their published work! --Part 2
