Mrs. Manus, our middle school nurse, visited with our 5th-grade students last week to talk about the importance of proper good hygiene—especially during flu season! 🤧🦠 She reminded students to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, scrub all areas (don’t forget between the fingers and under the nails!), and always wash before eating and after coughing or sneezing. Small habits make a BIG difference in keeping everyone feeling their best!
With sickness going around, let’s all do our part to stay healthy—wash your hands, cover coughs and sneezes, don't eat or drink after others, and not to share brushes and combs! Let’s work together to reduce the spread of germs and keep everyone feeling their best! 💪

Today, we are making sure kindness is noticed by wearing orange at LMS! 🧡

Lavaca Public Schools participate in the Arkansas Public School Choice Act 560 of 2015. We are now accepting applications for students who desire to participate in the School Choice Program.
In accordance with Act 490 of 2021, the window period for applicant filing and school districts accepting School Choice applications for the 2025-2026 School Year begins on January 1, 2025 and runs through May 1, 2025.
Any parent residing outside the Lavaca School District, who wishes to send their child to Lavaca Schools, beginning with the 2025-2026 School Year, may obtain an application from the Central Administration Office located at 203 Fir Street, Lavaca, AR. You may also obtain an application online at dese.ade.arkansas.gov/ under the School Choice tab.
Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year must be received on/or postmarked no later than May 1, 2025 to be considered eligible for the upcoming school year. Applicants must submit School Choice applications to the nonresident district which will notify the resident district.
