The Lavaca FFA Ag Mechanics & Electricity teams competed at ATU-Ozark Friday. The Ag Mechanics team finished 5th out of 18 teams & the electricity team finished 5th out of 12 teams. The FFA will compete at the Northwest District CDE contest in Russellville this week. Way to go Lavaca FFA! We are proud of you!

The LHS Quiz Bowl team placed 3rd at the 3A conference tournament on Saturday, March 7! Erynn Hutson was 2nd place all tournament with 8.4 points average per game. Way to go LHS Quiz Bowl! We are proud of you all!

The Lavaca School District Office of Education is extending an invitation to Home School parents residing within the Lavaca School District boundary to attend an informational session concerning the delivery of Special Education and related services. This will take place on March 10th from 1:00-2:00 pm in the board room of the Lavaca Admin Building located at 203 Fir St.

The Lavaca FFA Chapter competed in the Logan County FFA Field Day Thursday, February 26th.
Poultry placed 19th out of 29 teams
Electricity placed 17th out of 31 teams
Farm Business Management team placed 11th out of 18
Other teams competing were Floriculture, Horse, Livestock, & Wildlife.

The chapter is preparing for the Northwest District CDE contest coming up next week! Good luck Lavaca FFA!!
