Basketball Senior Night will be Thursday, February 12. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our seniors at 5:30pm followed by the Arrows vs. Warriors. Lady Arrows will tipoff at 6pm followed by the Golden Arrows.

Reminder - there will be no school Feb 13-16 for Winter Break.

LHS Cybersecurity students attended the Capture the Flag competition at the Guy Fentner Educational Cooperative yesterday. Mrs. Fox & her students collaborated to solve escape rooms & search for clues. Team members Jacob James, Tucker Hubbard, Emma Ruggiero & Jordyn Roberts placed 2nd in the competition! We are so proud of our computer science students! #arrowpride #everydaycounts

February is National Career & Technical Education (CTE) Month. We will be recognizing the teaching of the trades throughout the month! The CTE programs at LHS are designed to prepare students for entering the workforce and/or higher education. Our courses afford students the opportunity to build career skills, get a head start on college coursework, & develop skills to be leaders in the future. Our first feature this month is Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS).

25 members of the Lavaca FFA Chapter competed in the Battle Town Rivalry yesterday in Fort Smith. The FFA members competed in Ag Mechanics, Floriculture, Electricity, Poultry, and Wildlife contests. The Ag Mechanics team finished 8th out of 23 teams and Max Floyd placed 8th out of 86 participants. The Farm Business Management team finished 9th out of 15 teams. The Lavaca FFA Wildlife team placed 6th out of 41 teams. Lavaca FFA is excited to begin a series of Career Development Event competitions this spring.

The Sr High basketball games vs. Lamar has been rescheduled for Thurs, Feb 12 which will now be our senior night as well. With the weather, we have so many updates, see below!

Lavaca Schools will be closed again Fri, Jan 30. Safety is our main concern & side roads are not safe for our buses.

Note: LHS Homecoming ceremony has been rescheduled for Mon, Feb 2 at 5:30pm. The Arrows will host the Paris Eagles with Sr Boys tipping off at 6pm followed by the Sr Lady Arrows.
