Our awesome LES PTO is so excited to get this project on its feet! They have started and organized a care closet for the use of our elementary students! (more than pictured)! It has/will have clothing, shoes, hygiene items, food, and more! If your student needs something, their desire is it will be available for them! There is a plan to do a coat/jacket giveaway in the near future too! Thank you to a few of our LES parents for hangers and tub donations to start organizing, as well as, Fiser Family Dentistry who will be donating some toothbrushes! A big shout out to Stephanie, Erin and Kendra for spending their day to help organize everything!

Ms. Amy’s students exercised their rights and responsibilities this morning as they had a mini voting booth.🇺🇸 Kids filled out their own voter registration card then voted for their favorite pet, sweet snack, and President. They learned that their vote matters.

LES finished casting their votes today in our mock election. 🇺🇸

Meet the Arrows Update!

Mrs. Sotherland’s class followed steps to make some witches brew in their costumes today!

here are all the details on Thanksgiving lunch at LES. It will be here before we know it because time flies when you are having fun. We hope to see all of the important adults in our Little Arrows’ world come eat with us.

Our 4th grade Arrows had a fun and exciting time with their science project. We placed an egg in vinegar with our favorite color yesterday, then waited 24 hours to see what would happen to our eggs. Some broke almost instantly while others became small bouncy balls. You can recreate this project by taking an egg from home placing it in a cup of vinegar and having it sit out for 24 hours then see what happens, will it bounce or break? 😁💜💛🥚

LES has been learning about the election process during library specialist time. The students have done a great job casting their vote for the next president. Each class will get to partake in voting until next Tuesday. More pictures to follow of each class as they vote.

Upcoming Dates

Red Ribbon Week is next week. Save this post so that you will know what the dress up days are!
We LOVE dress up days. Little Arrows do such a great job of continuing to learn even during dress up days. They know that their job is to LEARN while at school.

Look for more details in the future, but plan accordingly now. We hope to see all the important adults in our students' lives as they join us for lunch on November 14th.

Our Child Nutrition Department helped LPS celebrate Farm to School Month with a special "Try It Day"! 🎉
Students at our elementary, middle and high school got the chance to sample delicious veggies such as cauliflower, sweet potatoes, zucchini, and radishes. It's the perfect opportunity to explore new flavors and learn about healthy, local foods! 🥦🍎
