2023 Family Night was a success! A huge thank you to Mrs. Headley for organizing everything, the teachers and staff for setting up and tearing down, Mrs. Taylor and her art program for the self portrait art gallery, PTO for volunteering their time, efforts, and money into raising money, and our community for showing up for our school! We are proud to be Arrow! 💜

Congratulations to Michael Barwick! Michael is the Farm Bureau Player of the Week from Fridays game against Cedarville! #GoArrows #FOCUS
Our local County Extension agents, Tristin Bolton and Breylin Wallace came to Lavaca Elementary to encourage students to eat healthy and try new foods. Students were able to sample their tasty watermelon salad. Students were excited to try new foods and were given a handout filled with nutritional information on watermelons. It's exciting to see our community coming together to promote healthy choices for our future generations!
Congressman Steve Womack visited our 3rd and 4th grade students at Lavaca Elementary today. Congressman Womack spoke to our students about the 4 keys to success no matter who you are or where you come from. He said with an education, good behavior, your health, and a charitable heart, anyone can be successful. He encouraged the students to always “squint with their ears” (really lean into themselves and others) while on the path to that success. We are so grateful that Congressman Womack took the time out of his busy schedule to visit with our Golden Arrows!

We are fighting off the heat at LES thanks to our great Lavaca Elementary PTO and Arrow Ice SnoCones! Thank you PTO and Arrow Ice! Prek-Kindergarten loved their snow cones!
The Lavaca School Board will have a closed meeting on Monday, August 28th at 6pm. Our regular board meeting will follow immediately after the closed meeting.
