Mrs. Headley worked so hard on our book fair this year! We earn scholastic points with our book fair and that got us some new makerspaces for Library! We still have a new Lego table coming in too. LES is thankful for Mrs. Headley’s hard work and our parental suppport! LES students are going to love these!

In observance of Holocaust Remembrance Week, Lavaca 4th grade students have been analyzing a poem by a Holocaust victim, creating original acrostic poems, and creating a visual display.

🍏🥝🍊 Afterschool Adventures in Healthy Eating! 🌟 On Thursday, our local county extension agent, Tristin Bolton, paid a visit to Lavaca elementary school's After School program. The kiddos had a blast sampling some tasty kiwi, oranges, and grapefruit—all thanks to our wonderful guest! 🍇👧👦 Mrs. Bolton also shared fantastic tips on picking better snacks for our little ones to stay healthy and happy. A huge thank you to our local county extension service for making our afterschool program extra special! 🙌🍎 #HealthyKids #SnackSmart #CommunityWellness

2023 Thanksgiving Feast was a success! We served over 450 Thanksgiving meals! So thankful for our cafeteria workers and these High School StuCo Members that came over to help serve.




Our local county extension agent, Tristin Bolton brought a burst of flavor to LES with the AR Food program. Students got to savor the deliciousness of smothered greens, opening their taste buds to a world of nutritious goodness! Thank you to our amazing county extension agent for making nutrition education both tasty and informative!
