The 2019 Lavaca High School volleyball season is underway! The girls have worked hard this summer as they prepare to take care of some #unfinishedbusiness. Last year the LHS volleyball team made it to the state finals but came up short. This year they want more. They have worked hard this summer and are ready for the challenge. We lost 5 starters but we will not have any trouble filling those spots. This year’s team is very versatile. Our 2 seniors, Jessie Flanagan and Mallory Brittain, are having to shoulder a lot of responsibility as they will be sharing one of the setter positions and switching between setter, outside hitter, or middle hitter. Anna Todaro is our main setter and also plays outside hitter. Kinzee Jo Brown is our other middle and she is doing great and has worked hard. Alyssa Weaver and Rylie Green will be taking care of the back row for us and are passing very well. It helps a lot having both a libero and defensive specialist that can go in at any time. A constant at right side is Ireland Green. The other right side is still a flexible spot as I have Selena Shelly, Lacie Sosebee, Reshia Sparkman, and Skylar Walchli rotating through. We are excited to see how this season goes! Go Arrows!
